How to Register

Students register for classes on HUB, which is available via MyUB. Information about HUB, including how-to videos, is available at www.buffalo.edu/hub.

Matriculating students are able to begin registering during their designated registration window/enrollment appointment. Non-matriculating students can begin registering as of the published date.

Decommission of BIRD: Beginning with registration in March of 2011, all BIRD services will be discontinued. Registration services will be discontinued in March 2011 and Grades and Financial Aid will be discontinued in May 2011. These services will be available on the new student information system, the HUB, which students can access beginning in Spring 2011 through MyUB.

Before registering for classes, review the Prepare to Register and Registration Tips checklists. After you begin the registration process, you may need to update your schedule. Please select one of the following links for information related to adding, dropping or resigning courses:

HUB will allow current UB students to register. If you left UB and did not file an official Leave of Absence, HUB will refuse your access to registration because you are no longer a student. (If you wish to enroll at UB again, you will need to contact either Undergraduate Admissions, or the Graduate department with which you last affiliated.) And, if you are a new undergraduate student, you will automatically have a hold placed on your record to prevent you from registering until you have been advised.
