Not Returning to UB

Instructions for Enrolled Undergraduate & Graduate Students

If you are a currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student, or were enrolled in the most recent semester, and have decided not to return to UB, it is important that you complete the Not Returning to UB survey (link). Completing this survey will allow the Office of the Registrar to update your record. Please see the Not Returning to UB Checklist for a list offices to notify of your departure from UB.

If you are considering a return to UB at a later date, please review Leave of Absence requirements and application procedures.

Important SUNY Policy

When a student is registered for courses, the student assumes responsibility for paying all charges associated with those courses. A student must pay even if not one class was attended unless the courses have been dropped or resigned according to the published deadlines, which are found on the student calendars.

Therefore, it is extremely important to use your HUB Student Center (via MyUB) to drop courses before any financial penalty is assessed (see the relevant student calendar).

Moreover, it is important that other services you were scheduled to receive are cancelled separately, such as a residence hall room, a meal plan, student medical insurance, or financial aid.

For related information, view the Not Returning to UB Checklist for Current Students.
